Digital Arts

Students in the Digital Art concentration investigate several subjects within digital media production, including: animation, game design, user experience art and design, video production, digital drawing and painting, 3D modeling and digital imaging. These subjects will be taught from a contemporary fine arts perspective that encourages experimentation and development of a creative voice within the framework of the most current professional practices. Contemporary art offers a vantage point to see a broad view of possibilities within digital media, providing students with the analytical and pioneering skills needed to be successful in their chosen field.

"Digital Media encompasses a broad range of methods and production that touches upon many different disciplines throughout art and design. The population of the Digital Art courses at Wayne State is comprised of students from across several concentrations with the Department of Art and Art History creating a truly interdisciplinary departmentally inclusive learning community."
