Tri-County High School Exhibition

The Tri-County High School Art Exhibition is an exhibition displaying artwork from some of the most talented young people of Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties in Michigan.  The 2023 Tri-County High School Art Exhibition marks the 12th year for this event hosted by the James Pearson Duffy Department of Art and Art History at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.

The Art Department Gallery (ADG), Wayne State University (WSU), Detroit, MI presents its annual Tri-County High School Exhibition. The exhibition runs January 27 through February 10, 2023, and will feature approximately 75 artworks by high school students from Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.   

An opening reception will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 6-8pm, with an awards presentation at 6:30pm. Members of the Department of Art and Art History will be on hand to celebrate students and their creative achievements.

Exhibition Details

This exhibition features approximately 75 selected artworks created by high school students from Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties. At the opening reception, awards will be given to students for their outstanding artworks in the exhibition. The awards include First Place, Second Place, Third Place, Teacher Award, and three Honorable Mentions.

About the gallery

The Art Department Gallery hosts annual undergraduate exhibitions, graduate student exhibitions, faculty exhibitions and sabbatical exhibitions.
