Welcome to the Success Through Intentional Learning and Engagement (STILE) Program!

College students are often told to make the most of the college experience. You likely received advice on the importance and value of doing well academically. You may have been told to push yourself by meeting new people, trying new things, and getting involved. However, you are not always given a blueprint on how to make these things happen. You may be excited by all the possibilities, but still feel overwhelmed by all that you are being asked to do. How can you balance it all while trying to adjust to a new environment and new expectations?

STILE is a student success and engagement program created by the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts to help you make a smooth transition to the Creative Warrior family as an invested partner in your success. Joining STILE means that you have support and community from the start. You will have direct access to success partners and resources tailored to help you meet your academic and personal goals. Becoming a member of the STILE community will help provide a sense of home here at Wayne State University.

We know that the journey may not always be easy, that is why we call our STILE students persistence scholars. Together, we will push through challenges and remove barriers that may impede degree and goal completion. We will persist to the end because walking across the stage is worth the effort. As a persistence scholar you will learn to design your time with STILE! We can't wait to welcome you to the Creative Warrior family.
