Wayne State debate team qualifies for nationals
Department of Communication policy debate team qualified for the 2020 National Debate Tournament (NDT). The team, led by Dr. Sydney Pasquinelli, director of debate and Dr. Ron Stevenson, director of forensics, qualified at the regional competition at Northwestern University.
Darcell Brown (CFPCA) and Brandon Reynolds (CLAS) are the two qualifying debaters and will represent Wayne State at the 74th NDT at James Madison University in Virginia March 26-30.
Brown and Reynolds will be among 72 individual teams from across the country and will be competing against universities including Harvard, Georgetown, Emory and many others at this year's national tournament.
