Thanks for a great season, WSU Football!
There are 100 Wayne State Warriors on the 2011 football roster and seven of them, below, are majors in the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts. Congratulations to them, the entire team and the coaches on marching to the NCAA Division II playoffs for the first time in school history.
The Wayne State Warrior Marching Band made the trip to the big game. Read our marching band press release online and visit the Warrior Band on the web. View an online photo collection of shots shared by CFPCA alum Stan Simek '93 '06.
After four consecutive wins, all away, over nationally ranked teams, our "road" Warriors took on the Pittsburg State University Gorillas from Pittsburg, Kansas, in the national championship game December 17, 2011. For a game re-cap, visit the NCAA's site. For WSU's own season re-cap in the form of a 30-second video, click the team photo below, taken at the stadium in Florence, Alabama....
CFPCA is very proud of these fine players and the entire WSU Football program!
