Lecture: Being Muslim in the Trump Era

Islamophobia in the U.S. has been on the rise, especially since 9/11. The 2016 U.S. election campaign and aftermath have brought this hostile atmosphere to a new peak. Hashtags such as #FlyingWhileMuslim, #MuslimsReportStuff, and #NoMuslimBan have drawn attention to the discrimination Muslims face.

Join panelists Dr. Stine Eckert, Jade Metzger-Riftkin, Sean Kolhoff, Sydney O'Shay Wallace and Annisa Rochadiat from the Department of Communication; as well as Saeed Khan from Near East & Eastern Studies as they lead a thought-provoking discussion on Islamophobia.
