Hellenic Museum of Michigan features work by current students and recent department graduates

Wayne State University Department of Music Professor and Director of the University Symphony Orchestra Kypros Markou recently produced two music videos for the Hellenic Museum of Michigan. The videos feature a Woodwind Quintet, Midtown Winds, consisting of current students and recent department graduates. Markou collaborated with Steven McGhee, an adjunct piano faculty in the department. They performed "Suite for Violin" and "Piano" by Alkis Baltas.

Both videos are featured on the website of the Hellenic Museum as part of their music series. The Woodwind Quintet performance will also be featured at the 2021 International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, where Markou will provide introductory remarks about the composer and the music.
