FPC 5500 is a service-learning course in the College of Fine, Performing, and Communication Arts that combines traditional classroom learning with active arts-based engagement in the Detroit Community. Through readings, discussions, and "hands-on" work in the community, we will explore the social role of art and its role in energizing a community and empowering people.
