Circulation by Pamela DeLaura
The James Pearson Duffy Department of Art and the Elaine L. Jacob Gallery is pleased to present Circulation by Pamela DeLaura, featured on a billboard at the corner of N. Woodward Ave. and E. Forest St. in Detroit. The billbard will be on display July 26 - August 20.
Pamela DeLaura, professor emerita, has served over 33 years as professor of printmaking. From 2008-2021, DeLaura was the area coordinator of printmaking and director of the Wayne Professional Print Workshop. Additionally, DeLaura was a lead coordinator for the 2014 Mid-America Print Council Conference held at WSU.

DeLaura was born in Erie, Pennsylvania and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in printmaking from State University of New York College/Buffalo and earned her Master of Fine Arts in printmaking from Tyler School of Art/Temple University, Philadelphia.
DeLaura has exhibited her prints in numerous national and international venues, including, International Print Center New York, Museum of Engraving Italy, Jyvaskyla Art Museum Finland, Portugal, Bulgaria, Australia, Macedonia, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, UK, Poland, Canada, and many more. Her prints are included in the collections of the Detroit Institute of Art, Iraq National Library, Bagdad, Herron Art Library, Indiana-Purdue University, Naestved Cultural Centre and Museum, Denmark, Museum of Engraving, Paleologi Castle, Acqui Terme, Italy, Boston Public Library, Grunwald Center for Graphic Arts/UCLA, Erie Art Museum, Pennsylvania, Macedonia Institute and Museum Bitola, Columbia University, New York, and others.
She has also received the following visiting artist awards: Jyvaskyla Art Museum, Finland, Grafikoda, Tallin, Estonia, North Street Collective Artist Residency, California, and Visiting Master Artist, China Academy of Art/Hangzhou.
