2017 Summer Doctoral Seminar Keynote Talk "Cultivating Career Resilience: Communication and Work"

WSU's College of Fine, Performing and Communication Art's Department of Communication will host the 2017 Summer Doctoral Seminar Keynote Talk Cultivating Career Resilience: Communication and Work. The seminar will take place Tuesday, June 6, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room on the 3rd floor of the David Adamany Undergraduate Library.

Keynote speaker Patrice M. Buzzanell, Ph.D. will examine how communication scholarship offers a distinctive vantage point for understanding resilience. In organizing resilience in and for career, Dr. Buzzanell considers both reintegration and transformation- in work-life balance, professional and occupational challenges, risk, safety, resilience labor, difference, policy, and network ties. Through resilience, we can design communicative spaces, processes, and possibilities for more socially just and sustainable systems of career, work, and personal life.

This event is free and open to the public!
